@GMC2918 what do you mean FP, i am sorry I don’t know that cool lingo means.

FP means “full pay”. So I suspect that our declined spot may not help much unfortunately…

NO, you are a very big help @GMC2918

@Hsgirl25- FP= Full Pay.

Thank you @PhotographerMom

Sorry about that. The old CC format allowed us to see if someone posted an answer before we’d hit post. I miss that feature sometimes :)

Full pay.

@stargirl we were FP. I’ve been so impressed with your composure, grace and humor, and I know that must come through in your interviews! Am rooting for you in the upcoming weeks.

Woah, I’m behind. Sorry about that, my wifi is performing some interesting things that wifi is not supposed to do right now.

@stargirl3 and anyone else on the wait list or in wait pool, the SSAT is hosting a webinar on 4/17 titled “Traditional Advice For the Non-Traditional Applicant”. I am new to this board so I do not know if it is helpful but I thought someone here might garner some useful advice for their given situation.

We declined a spot at Deerfield, it was for 9th grade, boarding, girl, FP. Good luck to you.

We declined at Deerfield, Grade 9 boarding boy, Full pay as well. Hopefully the wait list will start moving for some of you here. Best of luck.

Westminster did go to WL - I know a girl who came off the waitlist yesterday for 9th grade boarding.

So Andover had an 86% yield as of today April 11 and is overenrolled by 15 9th grade boarders? Exeter’s yield was high too I think. Wherever one is on the “unranked” waiting lists it looks pretty bleak. Push off the dock and sail on I guess.

@quonnie That makes me really wonder about how much we can buy what the AO’s say because a couple of days ago (April 9th maybe) @Momof5ct was told they weren’t going to WL for 9th grade girl boarders - I know that she hoped for FA so maybe the response was narrowly tailored to her situation, but still it’s hard to know what to think.

Bad news for 9th grade boarding girls waiting for Westminster. They aren’t going to Waitlist ! Here is the copied quote. So, all AO’s may not be perfect at estimating yields and I am not just cynical. :-"

That’s good. (The part about grz not being cynical, I mean, not the waitlist part)

Exeter is overenrolled for the second straight year…

What does that mean, “overenrolled”? Does that mean they don’t have enough beds?

@Ispy42 It means more students enrolled than they expected, so they have to scramble for beds.
