Does anyone have any experience with the waitlist? How many of the 300 waitlisted eventually get admitted? Thanks.

If you consult Wheaton's common data set, found at www.wheaton.edu/registrar/faqs/CDS.pdf, you can find alot of pertient info on wheaton's admission statistics. Last year, 349 students were offered a spot on the waiting list. 275 actually accepted the offer. Of those 275, 39 were admitted.
I'm not sure if this is helpful or discouraging, but I have also heard a story about a girl who was placed on the waiting list a few years ago and didn't hear anything from wheaton until the day before freshman orientation, when they called and told her they suddenly had open bed...and she was admitted. Talk about a whirlwind college descision!
