<p>Pell Grants? Peace Corp volunteers? It must be time for the Washington Monthly College Poll.</p>
<p>I don't mind talking up this poll, not just because Wes annually ranks very high, but, because it has almost -0- to do with prestige [Note: there's a typo regarding LAC research grants; they obviously meant to express it in thousands, not millions]:</p>

<p>This magazine should get more credit for compiling such a list. The social mobility/economic diversity component is fascinating.</p>
<p>And, look at the Peace Corp/ROTC continuum. Who knew there ws such a big difference between Amherst and Williams? See how high Claremont McKenna ranks in the ROTC column (#2 out of 200 LACs!)</p>
