i got into ILR

Codeman, I feel your pain. Just remember Cornell can't decide your fate for you!! and just because they rejected you, it doesnt make you any less of a great person. I was disappointed too, but they made some terrible mistakes with some of the people that they rejected. And just know that you're the better person for it. Screw em, eh?? We'll be moving on....... :)

This is true. Not to sound like a sore loser or anything like that, but I am suprised at some of the people who are getting in. They may have a few points more than me here or there, but I sure as heck didn't want to go to Cornell because of the partying or the Ivy League label. I wanted to go for the excellent teachers, the hard work, and what I could gain from such an education. Oh well, their loss. Next time the CU police have to bust one of the students they admitted over me for underage posession of alcohol or illegal drugs, they'll wish they had checked the other box on my sheet. :)

lol, yes, Cornell only admits alcoholics and drug addicts, don't you know?

all schools have people who do alcohol, drugs, etc. peoples own preferences, which has nothing to do with intelligence. as far as i know, some who smoke crack are still smart people.

CU police have no power...they can't bust anybody :D

Right after I found out, I quickly read the screen once, then I silently stood up, opened my closet door, took a turquoise 14-lb bowling ball and sat in my closet gently petting the bowling ball repeating the phrase: "I am the dark lord of french fries."

Why did I do that? Well, because I knew no one else would react like that. After three minutes, I then broke into the normal fit of screaming in celebration and running around my house like a maniac.

My SATs were relatively low; I think my essays got me in.

hahah, i also ran around the house too when i found out. ;)

No, I'm pretty sure it's not intelligent to make a habit of smoking crack..... :p

haha, luckily nature made my mind so random that I don't need drugs.

yea, i can't do drugs. i was wired not to. tastes like ****.
