<p>The question then becomes -- WHAT ADVANTAGE IS THERE IN GOING TO THESE UNIVERSITIES ? You can arguably get just as good if not better education at less expensive ones without going into humongous debt after graduation.</p>

<p>The Forbes article looks specifically at tuition and fees. Kenyon is ranked second "most expensive" is you look only at the Forbes criteria. Room and board at Kenyon is only $6,200 per year, however. The total yearly cost of $44,000, while pricey, is similar to many other private LACs of its caliber. Plus, as the article notes, many of these schools offer generous merit and/or need-based scholarships and grants. </p>

<p>Now GW on the other hand, ranks #1 even after throwing in room and board costs.</p>

<p>George Washington really is the most expensive in the country. </p>

<p>Although, we already know the benefit - very strong programs in IR, Poli Sci, and Business, with lots of local internship opportunities. Depending on your personal finances, family contributions, and what kind of aid you get, it could be worthwhile.</p>
