<p>Does anyone know of any colleges or universities (besides U. of Rochester) which offer an English major with a concentration in theater? Thanks!</p>
<p>I believe that both Colgate and Bowdoin theatre courses are within the English department - don’t know about official “concentrations” in theatre though as part of the major.</p>
<p>Princeton University has an English major with a Theater and Performance Studies track.</p>
<p>I also don’t know of any concentration within an English department, but I know that there are Dramatic Literature majors at NYU and George Washington U, which I imagine are along the lines you are looking for.</p>
<p>At UPENN there are many theater arts courses cross-listed in the English department. There is only one playwriting workshop, but you can repeat it. The playwriting faculty is actually quite good (and they have many screenwriting classes.)</p>
