Oh yeah I forget to add on my original post that I got accepted to Penn State’s BA in theatre with a concentration in performance like Dancegrl979, not just the BA. The difference is the performance concentration required an audition.

Whoa did marymount manhattan sent acceptances already?

I know someone who got an acceptance letter yesterday for BA theater arts or BFA acting but he auditioned for MT.

do they send emails or mails

My daughter got her BFA
acceptance letter in the mail yesterday. She auditioned at unified in Chicago.

@Reveriece when did you audition for MMC? I auditioned on-campus on feb 18. At the info session they said they send notifications in waves. They said the people who auditioned on my date would have to wait until April 1 because they will not be making final decisions until after their March 17 audition.

I don’t know how to add these but here are my S acceptances so far: Point Park BFA MT, Uarts BFA MT, UMich BFA Performance.

Congratulations to your son, fullhouse! It would be great if you post and let us know which program he ultimately chooses, and why.

D got accepted to Otterbein BFA Acting program. Sorry, don’t know how to put into the main thread.

Congrats, newbie! Is you D posting here? Any chance she is ssjjkk? That will help as we edit the lists. Otherwise we’ll list her as your D, and put both of them under Otterbein.

This is looking terrific, everyone! Keep posting, as these next crazy weeks bring lots of news.

There should be a next thread on decisions. That was really interesting to read last year, and I know it really helps the next kids coming up.

@KellyLJ1 how did your daughter hear from VCU? Was it online or did she receive a letter?

Kcdunlap

How did Fordham notify you? Letter? Email? What type of info was in the letter?

Thanks

Yes, congratulations, kcdunlap! Your posts all suggested that your son’s audition went very well. It sounds as if we should eliminate Fordham from our list of remaining possibilities. I loved the balance they seemed to achieve between traditional liberal arts and dramatic training. The location’s unbeatable, and he can always catch a van or subway up to the Bronx to attend a football or basketball game, if he wants a diversion.

^^^ Fordham did an excellent job or selling the program. My sons interested and waned a bit prior to the audition but after the talk from the faculty and students which thankfully was prior to his audition time he was very impressed.

Actually my son is not a football or basketball fan so he probably wouldn’t head to the Bronx for that type of entertainment. Fortunately his older sister leaves up on 20th street so he has a built in network of friends from the past 3 yrs of her going to school there. He’s very fortunate that she has done the “ground work” for him…LOL. He’s very excited to be able to definitely head to NYC for more then his usually weekend visits to his sister for the past 3 years.
