<p>Milk – it was close to 4 weeks before she heard. She auditioned very early and I don’t think they had it together at the time. She was told 2 weeks at the audition. Finally, when it hit 4 weeks, I called and found out over the phone she’d been accepted and letter arrived a couple of days later.</p>

<p>I just realized I forgot to say congratulations on my last post. So congratulations to everyone who’s gotten in so far! Hopefully this new phase will bring you/your D/your S much happiness and wonderful opportunities. I also hope that everyone makes wise decisions and that they have the chance to go to a college that they adore, instead of the “safeties”.</p>

<p>And for the record: the #1 “commandment” for our school’s college counseling office is “Love thy safety,” and I think it’s important for everyone, theater or engineering or premed or good ol’ undecided kids, to choose safety schools that they would happily attend. I know that lots of kids, my son included, have their dream schools but are realistic and optimistic enough to plan on blooming wherever they’re planted. I hope you will have equally happy results!</p>

<p>I’ve been posting and reading through the MT thread but just learned about this thread when I tried to post D’s acceptances to drama/acting programs. Glad to find you all. It looks like some overlap between the two groups. D accepted into UCIrvine BA acting and campuswide honors program. She was also accepted into Northern Illinois University BFA acting program. Congratulations to all of you on your impressive acceptances!</p>
