Hey Vassar people! I am applying for the class of 2013 (early decision) and have found myself at a strange application impasse. I intend upon being a Theater major in college and in high school I have put massive amounts of time and work into my school's theater department. It is of course listed in my ECs yet I wanted to send in an Arts Supplement to give my resume and a recommendation and of course performance video. However... when I went to the Vassar Admissions site, it told me that the Theater Department doesn't review submissions. Even if they don't look at the tape, I still wanted to send in my resume and recommendation. But my little quandry becomes a little more confusing because well does Vassar accept the Common App supplement or just their own supplement? Basically, a little help please. Thanks so much for any help!

I'm not sure this answers your question, but my son is a freshman at Vassar this fall and also plans on majoring in theater. When he applied he used the common application supplement and submitted a sort of resume attached. He did not submit any video but you could do that for the "My Space". He also submitted a rec from his drama teacher, even though it was an "extra".
