Hi, I'm a perpective Drama major at Vassar, and I'm applying Regular Decision. A question about Your Space - I know that Vassar is adamant about not accepting Drama submissions, but I was wondering if submitting a theatrical resume and a short one-act I wrote and produced via Your Space would be okay? I don't care if the Drama faculty read it or not, but I want to show the amount of time and dedication I have put towards the artform since I am not able to in other aspects of my application. I have a very extensive resume, in all aspects of theatre (acting, tech, directing, writing) and I want to showcase my extracurricular dedication to it. Is it counterintuitive to do so or will the admissions committee welcome it? I will also include a short letter to the committee addressing my reasoning for doing so and future plans and aspirations within theatre. Would love an anwer, because Vassar is my top choice at the moment and I don't want to screw anything up!

That sounds like it should be fine. People submit essays and stuff with Your Space all the time, so I don’t think it would hurt you. As long as you’re not submitting it via the arts supplement, which they say not to do.
