Hello! Right now Hamilton college is my first choice and I’d love to here more about the theatre program. I love that it’s inclusive (open to majors and non majors) as it is a huge part of my life but not what I plan on pursuing a career in. I’d love to hear all I can about theatre as an extracurricular and also as a major! Thanks so much.
With respect to a tangible aspect of Hamilton’s theatre opportunities, you could be involved in productions in conceivably the most beautiful collegiate theatre facility in the country:
If you are thinking ahead to academic planning, choosing a theatre course as an elective every semester — from your first term forward — would be possible irrespective of your intended primary major.
In particular, look into Theatre 141/142 — a partial credit course that can be repeated — which can function as an extensive extracurricular activity while contributing to academic requirements:

Alas, Hamilton has a very mediocre, under-performing Arts program - you can tell by the dearth of professionals coming out of the school - way more bankers and lawyers. BTW the theater facility was donated by a big-buck Wall Street guy.
It would have been properly inclusive to say “financially successful patrons of the arts,” since the center was named for two people, of whom one, not incidentally, graduated as an art major from Hamilton (followed by a career on Wall Street).
