Theatre Major Cap?

Hi! So I applied ED to Northwestern, and this question was brought up in a different forum, but I wanted to see if anyone else could answer it. I applied to the School of Communication for theatre, and I know that the major has a cap at 100 students. My question is whether or not this makes getting accepted harder. Like, it seems like less theatre majors would be accepted due to the cap, but at the same time, if they have to fill all 100 slots, could a theatre major potentially be picked over another Communication applicant because they need to get to 100?

Northwestern’s Theatre program is fairly renown so I doubt they would have a problem reaching 100. That being said, as an Early AND a Theatre applicant, I think the pool you entered into is a bit smaller than the average applicant, giving you more of a boost. I’m not really sure, but as a Radio/Tv/Film applicant myself I hope this is true.
