Hey,

I know DePaul has an amazing theatre program and it is extremely competitive, I am actually already accepted into DePaul as an economics major but I was wondering if there is any way that someone who is not majoring in theatre can be involved in the program and if there are any opportunities for those who are not majoring in theatre or anything like that.

Thank you so much for any help!

Hey reallyradryan!
No worries, I was in your exact position! If I could have it my way, I would have majored in Theatre. But you do have some options: 1. Anyone can minor in Theatre Studies which allows you to take acting and performing classes. 2. Theatre School students put on student directed productions every quarter and auditions are open to anyone. 3. There are clubs and organizations such as the Theatre Union at DePaul that put on productions just for the fun of it-and they get great turn outs! Otherwise, you are in the city of Chicago: some students take classes at different theaters like Second City and Improv Olympics if that interests you. Hope that helps!
