Maybe that's when they downloaded your essays to complete your application. Personally, I haven't received any sort of conformation that my appliction is complete. I only have an interview appointment.

Don't worry, I applied ED and they only received my one of my recommendation letters on Nov 28; it's not really a big deal. They probably processed it late--keep in mind how many thousands of applications they have to process. Their receipt of the essays is really their processing of them.

Good luck!

I have the same situation here; I sent everything in on December 31st, and they received it on January 10th. It's nothing to worry about...right?

thats just when they processesed it. All of my stuff has late dates too. And it could have gotten to them then too. It doesn't matter, you had it in before the deadline. Time to relax!

i haven't gotten callled/emailed for an interview yet, and im from new york and lots of people have been...
does anyone know when i should start worrying?

I'm not sure. I'm also from NY, and I haven't been called for an interview from Brown yet either.
Also, according to the Brown status page, they haven't yet receieved my ACT scores..should I be concerned? Is it likely that they simply haven't processed them yet? The thing is, I requested that they be sent on December 9th...

Pitseleh: I wouldn't worry about not being contacted for an interview either; it might be that there aren't any alumni in your area available for interviews or something like that. An interview is probably slightly helpful if an alumnus is available, but it certainly won't be held against if you never have one.

lacrimedellaluna: I wouldn't worry about the ACT scores unless and until you receive a letter in the mail about them. Chances are they're still processing scores and other application materials, but when they mail you a letter at home is when you might have to worry; it's kinda like official notification that they didn't receive it. In the meantime, I would wait to see if it gets processed in the next few days/week.

Good luck! :)

i havent received an interview yet. i havent received confirmation of the receipt of my materials yet either... i sent part 1 on like 12/26 and part 2 on 12/31 so im still waiting.

As for interviews, there's still time. You shouldn't assume ur not getting one just because ur friend got one and u still didn't get a call.

where can i check my app status? i even cannot find one--;

Chill!!!!!

ok got an interview call last night. as i said before, there's still plenty of time.
now just to wait for the confirmation.

you get a password for app status in the mail. just chill out.

It says my essays was recieved on the 10th and the 12th. They obviously have some lag time with those 19000 apps.
