They sent me an application fee waiver

I'm a rising senior and I will be applying EA. I recently visited campus and I've been on the mailing list for a while, but today for whatever reason they sent me an application fee waiver.

Has anyone else gotten one?

I don't particularly need one (I can afford the $75) but are they inviting me to apply for free since I indicated interest?

The form's exact words are "Thank you for your interest... bla bla... If your family is experiencing financial hardship, or is unable to afford the application fee, please submit this application fee waiver."

What should I do with it? Like I said I don't absolutely need it but hey, 75 bucks is 75 bucks

Simply follow the directions. If the above is not true, then just ask yourself if you think it is right to use it.

@theguru2015, I’m in the exact same situation. Does anybody know if you automatically get the waiver when you send in the information, or do they ask you more about your financial situation?

Also, do other colleges offer app fee waivers w/o asking for financial information or requiring eligibility/enrollment in free/reduced lunch or welfare?

If you seek the fee waiver then submit financial information that your parents make $300 K / year, I wonder how advantageous that would be to your application?

^^ They will not believe a lot of other things on the application would be the result.

Honor code.

If you submit that fee waiver with high income, then it is the first lie you made in your application, how is that look on your application? If you are not asking FA, then they know you have lied. If you do ask for FA, then they know if you qualify or not qualify the fee waiver. Either way you lose by falsely use that fee waiver.
