So I'm a Senior, and I still want to go to NYU with all my heart...but I don't see it happening this year with my grades...I took the ACT and I'm waiting on my scores (I'm expecting a 22 or 23) andd I'm not even going to mention my GPA (it's below a 3.0 is all I'll say.) I thought I'd try to apply to Tisch to make up for my lackluster grades but for some reason this all just doesn't seem feasible. So instead I will be applying to The New School ED and I think I have a pretty good chance of getting in with all of my extracurriculars and stuch. But NYU is still on my mind and I intend to transfer after the first year if I am lucky enough/get good enough grades. Can anyone explain the neccesities needed for transfering into NYU for sophomore year? Thanks in advance.
P.S. If I do not get into NS I will definitely still apply to NYU for RD, but I still don't know if it's even worth it.

You would need a perfect 4.0 in college to make up for your high school record because if you transfer before junior year, NYU will take your high school record into account.

I think you can get into the New School, but NYU is a reach.
