I disagree with Freudian psychology and laffy-taffy

Sorry Adele fans, but “rolling in the deep”. Neve heard a song (yes, more overplayed than lady gaga, bruno mars, etc) so overplayed as much as this one on the radio… I’ve heard it so often that I smash the button in frustration to turn it off.

Well that’s fine about rolling in the deep but she has many more good songs. But anyway my over rated things is… Clothing. Abercrombie and fitch, aeropostale, spencers, an many others. If it looks good who cares what the name is? And half the company’s have terrible looking clothes with a name on it. Very irksome.

I disagree with 500 Days of Summer and Amelie. Both wonderful movies, in my opinion.

Certain indie music, yes. But a lot of it is actually quite wonderful.

+1 relationships.

Alright, here’s the obligatory comment about all the “indie” and “hipster” stuff that is being thrown around.

First of all, if you ask someone what kind of music they like and they respond “indie”, they are an idiot. Indie music is not solely comprised of Bon Iver-ish figures jamming in the woods – just like mainstream music is not solely comprised of Lady Gaga. Generalizations=bad move.

Second, the beauty of railing against hipster music is that no one actually can define hipster music, and therefore your assertion that Bright Eyes is hipster garbage cannot be incorrect. Calling something hipster is indicative of nothing.

To wit: how can being a hipster be overrated if no one on the planet (including hipsters – whatever that actually means) thinks that hipsters are positive? Shouldn’t someone actually like hipsters, before such a large sect of people find them overrated?

And lastly, Radiohead is awesome. Don’t look at me that way.

I’m not exactly sure what my specific point is, but I rest my case. Have at it.

Jeez people you make life seem overrated.

Life was cool before everyone had it :/

Lol @HarryJones…
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Toms. Or when people use the word “swag”. Also, Megan Fox. A lot of people think she’s hot but she’s had a lot of plastic surgery which is cheating. And Facebook, getting tan, and Angelina Jolie have already been mentioned, but I fully agree.
I don’t think House is overrated, but after watching a few seasons the episodes start to get kind of repetitive.

Don’t hate on Harry Potter.

I’m certainly not a Facebook addict or anything, but most people who find Facebook over rated have barely/never used it.

Glee and Harry Potter

Nazi jokes. Uh, hello? That work actually used to and still strikes fear into the hearts of remaining Holocaust survivors. It’s horrible to see American culture make light of it.

Glee.

Girls who are all “OMG LOOK AT ME I PLAY VIDEO GAMES ~”

Starbucks.

Breathing, I mean its so overrated.

Disagree and agree with Starbucks.

Their coffee is simply amazing. However, in my area, there are at least three Starbucks within a five minute drive of my house. There is literally a place where there are two, right across the street from each other, one connected to a Safeway or whatever. Though you can’t enter a Starbucks in the area that doesn’t have at least one or two people in line. Usually, in the morning, there are ten plus people waiting. So maybe the sheer amount is excessive, but they’re necessary to keep down traffic.

That’s what happens when you live in the Pacific Northwest. Specifically, twenty minutes away from the original Starbucks.

I admit I’m sort of biased considering I hate coffee, but if you would see the way my friends react to the very mention of Starbucks, you would see how very overrated it is. All they want to do is go to Starbucks… Borderline annoying.
