Things to check out at University of Chicago

Hey guys, I’ll be attending a tour tomorrow at The University of Chicago, and I was wondering if there is anything that I should go out of my way to see on campus? Thanks!

Depends to some extent on what you are interested in studying. But maybe my favorite view on campus now is the conference room on, I think, the 8th floor of the Logan Center looking back down the Midway towards the lake.

If you aren’t from around here, try to see the city a little bit and the area nearby. Really relevant part of the campus life.

Yes absolutely drive around to look at the surroundings. Hyde Park by itself is pretty normal urban community. But you also have to get a bigger picture to make an effort to learn the bigger environment. The school is pretty safe in an urban environment.
