Things to do b/w undergrad and law school

Not talking a/b merely to pad your resume, as the verdict seems to be that your resume isn't nearly as important as GPA/LSAT. But to those that have already been through law school and to those thinking about it, what's an experience you would recommend taking part in between undergrad and law?

I for one think the JET program looks amazing, though really tough to get into.

Other ideas?

Peace Corps, Teach for America, working for a different nonprofit

Do w/e you want b/w college and law school, b/c that is that last time you will have few responsibilities.

True, but it is also probably the last time one will have a chance to do something that they really want to without regards to finances. Seems to be the reason so many choose to enjoy some sort of non-profit experience during this time.

I headed overseas with a goal of teaching English to support myself, and work on my foreign language skills. Once I got there, I learned of other opportunities (working part-time for a law firm, working as an extra in the local film industry, playing music).

The last I heard, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea were promising venues for that sort of thing, but that kind of info tends to have a short shelf-life, so ask around.
