Things we're looking forward to about Tufts

Lol. just list what you're looking forward to. I don't know about you, but a lot of the people I know who were going for Tufts didn't necessarily have it as a first choice, so this can be a way to get EVERYONE excited for the next four years!

be in boston... such an amazing city! Also looking forward to meeting new and interesting people!! CAN'T WAIT!

also excited to be in boston...take interesting classes (stuff i actually care about)...meet new people...be on my own! out of my parents rule... :)

oh yeah...forgot about that... independence is also going to be sweet!

Cheesy as it sounds, I'm looking foward to meeting lots of smart, interesting people who care about the world. I went to prep school with lots of smart, interesting people who mostly cared about getting into a great college. Now that that's out of the way, I'm excited to interact with people with an improved set of priorities.

Among other things, I'm looking forward to the food. I hope it doesn't disappoint me, considering all the great things that I have heard about it.

TUFTS-in-LONDON!!!!

Best wishes to the fresh meat and enjoy the social torture by our beloved prez.

Cheers,
Vlad

haha i can't even begin to list all the things i'm looking forward to about Tufts that are uniquely Tufts, but I will say, gatsby, that the food is just ORGASMIC. esp. at Dewick. My jewish grandma nearly burst into tears at the knowledge that i'd be fed this way for the next four years haha

Hey Vlad, i'm guessing you're Russian based on your name and the buratino sn lol. BU! (dunananananana) RA! (dunanananana!) TI! (dunananananana) NO! (dunananananana) BU! RA! TI! NO! Good to see another Russian on board lol.

FYI all you non-Russians, Buratino is the Russian equivalent of Pinocchio haha. Even though after that Family Guy episode I'm unable to think about Pinocchio without bursting out laughing lmao

oh and also - i said this on another thread, but i love that everyone is putting that they can't wait to meet new, interesting people. because if EVERYONE has that attitude going in, I really cannot wait to get acquained with other people that are willing to make friends.

Hey Bluirinka,

I dont know abut Dewick, I'm a 2 yr veteran uphiller and Carmichael is so much better. Can you say stirfry on Tuesday, Chicken Ceasar on Wed, and Pasta on Thursday. BTW, uphill has the Fletcher eatery and the Tower Cafe, so we are so much better than downhill.

Plus in the winters uphill is way cooler, no walking downhill in the snow and all....

PS the username comes from a very long story, but it is one of my favoritest stories, like woah!

And to counteract that I am a three year downhiller who loves it. All of my night activities are downhill and its closer to the campus center. Really this uphill downhill thing is crazy. You will live where you live and it usually works out. There are positives and negatives to both. It really shouldn't amount to food or walking.

Pfft Uphill cannot claim No-name cafe in the Fletcher school. They deliberately made it terrible this year because Tufts students were taking over the eatery. Enjoy your fruitless Mugar cafe, you uphill propagandists :)

<3 Dewick forever.

PS we have a grill.

HECK YES, DEWICK!

(now that I've said that, I bet they stick me into Houston. The world just works that way. For example, you'll sit in a restaurant waiting for one chronically late friend, waiting for ever and ever, and the second someone finally pulls out a phone to call them, they show up. So now, whenever we're waiting for someone, someone just calls them and that makes them show up lol)

Reminds me of today!

Uphill is better, end of discussion! No walking uphill and downhill after a day of classes. Furthermore, the dorms (WREN and Carm do not count) are better as well. If you get houston 3rd floor with John as your RA, you'll have loads of fun. Plus the wicked RD is gone, so life will be good now.

Finally, Houston and Miller are the ****! While, Hill is good, its bathrooms are disgusting. I would not a pig in there, let alone a human.

Cheers,
Vlad

What is RD?

Uphill vs. downhill is a long-standing debate, and people have their own personal preferences. It mostly depends on what you get randomly assigned as a freshman (more or less).

A RD is a Residence (Resident?) Director, who is a college grad who lives in the dorms and oversees the RAs (Resident Assistants). I've known a couple of RDs and I haven't really had a bad experience with them. The one I had in South was really cool and his kids would go trick-or-treating in the dorm.

Hi,

I've had Cathleen in Houston during my frosh year and she was not a very friendly individual to say the least.

Cheers!
Vlad

I didn't say they were all wonderful people, but I had a good one and I'm sure there are other good ones, just like there are other bad ones.

I'm looking forward to getting away from this annoying short girl I know.

that's what you think. lol. now i gotta go, i have to stand outside the window of this crazy liberal kid and watch him get dressed/undressed.
