Visiting Tufts

I'm going to visit Tufts next week. Is there anything that I should make sure that I do/see?

Eat in the dining hall, read our campus publications, sit in a class that you like, talk to students/profs, and take the tour.

Don't forget to check out the dorms. Also try and check when the information sessions for admitted students are. We got to sit down with an adcom and ask all the questions we wanted.

am i the only one coming with my parents? lol i'll feel silly if im the only one to do so :p

If you don't have parents with you, you'll be the only one :)

Is anyone going to be at the Tufts Telescope Program this Thursday- Saturday?

Or, more specifically, is anyone taking the bus from either Penn or Hartford?

I am going without parents. Is that a problem?

No, I'm just joking. You'll be fine.

Get some hot chocolate at Brown & Brew. Heaven in a paper cup, topped with homemade whipped cream.

Check out the new psych building next door to that.

Take the tour and be sure to put a penny on Jumbo's trunk. Mosey around the library (which is fantastic - see the windows, big desks, and comfy chairs).

Eat lunch with a Jumbo. You can really learn about the school and get a good perspective on what it will be like for you to go there.

Sit in on a class. I didn't do that, because I really wondered how you were supposed to just sit there... but get the schedule and wander into one. Most of the Tufts professors are fantastic - you can appreciate it once you see them in action.

haha I'd actually go for a caramel macchiato at Brown and Brew - they're not at all like Starbucks', way better actually.

I don't know if they had caramel macchiatos in my day... will have to try one when I'm in MA again.
