Yes I'm back:

Barbie's friend +1/50th of the U.S.A --Penn State, Hepstar<<

Barbie's friend was Midge. How do you get Penn St. from that? I was thinking it was maybe Bemidji State University.

I assumed that the clue should have read "rhymes with Barbie's Friend + 1/50th of the U.S.A." Her lifelong compainion is Ken and this rhymes with Penn so I figured that Penn State would make sense.

married English royalty --Duke, Hepstar<<

I think a better answer here is Queens College. A duke is nobility, not royalty.

Courer, you forgot some of the answers. Look at post #22.

As for #3, that was pretty much a guess. Queens college makes more sense.

There's a dish called Harvard beets.

In that case it's a poor clue. Barbie's boyfriend was Ken. Barbie's friend was Midge.

"She had short red hair and freckles. In the 1960s, she was Barbie Millicent Roberts's original best friend...."

Barbie has other friends, too. She has Theresa (I had her - she's the hispanic doll lol), and a few other friends I can't remember, and I think she made new friends since she moved to California and streaked her hair blonde.
