I'm hoping to deviate from the typical Indian majors (Medicine and engineering) and shoot for business, law, or politics. Ideally, a nice mix of the three.

My main insecurity lies in my grades-- I've gotten 8 Bs, all in Math and Science. Obviously, numbers are not my forte.

So here goes: What are my chances?

Yes, I do think you can get in.

Wellesley doesn't seem to mind well-lopsided kids, and your rank makes your Bs almost irrelevant- sounds to me like everyone at your school has some. You've got very strong scores, and great extracurriculars- just make sure you put enough time and effort into your essays and you should be fine.

I agree with Elizabeth. Your rank will explain the B's, which would be fine anyway. I would be really surprised if you didn't get in but make sure to show your interest - show that you're not thinking of Wellesley as a safety - through a good essay and maybe having an interview on campus or with an alumna in your area.

I think you have a very very good chance. Just don't send in that AP Physics score.

Wow... if this is my competition, I'm a bit worried, haha : ) I think you should be set.... your class rank definitely outweighs the B's.

u r mostly likely in, but you can never be too sure.

You have very strong scores, and one can tell that you're not a math/sci person :) And you're a fellow JSA-er!! Yay, I went to summer school at Yale and I presume you took AP Gov at JSA at Georgetown. Can you count that as college courses when technically they weren't taught directly by the college?
