Thinking about MBA

I am a freshman majoring in accounting at the University of Florida. After four years I should have my Masters of Accounting as well as CPA certification, assuming I score high enough on the GMAT to enroll in the combined BA/Masters program; it is supposed to be 5 years but due to the 30 credits I brought from high school I will complete the program in 4.

I wouldn't mind being only a CPA for my career, but I would rather deal more with investments and planning. I know that I could also take the CFP test without needing additional schooling, but I believe that an MBA with a focus on economics would serve me better.

Assuming I get my Masters of Accounting and CPA certification after 4 years, would it be wise to go back to school after working as a CPA for 2-3 years in order to get my MBA, or should I continue as a CPA and take the CFP test?

If you are thinking aaout "private client advisory"- or "wealth management"-type career, MBA could be helpful for progression within a firm. However,
my advise is to hold off MBA and focus on pursuing CPA and CFP first as both require some working experience (depending on your state) as the basic for licensure. Both are great qualification for getting into a top b-school. Pursue MBA when you find it necessary or want to switch career.
