Hey, there
I am current an student in Iowa state university majoring in psychology. I am thinking about transfer to one of the ivy league university next spring. I have 3.3 gpa now because i screwed up with one of my biology class this semester. So i am thinking about retake some classes to boost my gpa into 3.8+ and i am very confident with that. So i am just wondering is that possible that i could retake some classes instead of new classes for the fall semester in order to get all my classes grades to A or at least A-? And at the same time prepare for the sat tests as well?
I would really appreciate if someone could give me some advice? thank you so much

You need to work on your English first. People who make the mistakes you have in your post are highly unlikely to get into a selective school.

i am sorry, i was very anxious when i post this. I am sorry for some grammar mistakes.

Not all IL colleges take spring transfers.

For those that do, your admission decision will be made before fall grades are finalized, so it will be based on your earlier record and at most a mid-term report.

While your gpa may be improved by retaking classes, your transcript will reflect both grades:

thank you for the information, so do u think it is a good idea for me to take some easy classes to improve my gpa for the fall semester?

You need to think very carefully about your reasons for applying to the places on your transfer list. You will need to write essays that state specifically why you believe that the place(s) that you apply to have better academic programs for your major. “I want to go to an Ivy.” is not a good enough reason. Neither is “I hate my current university.”

When you know what is wrong with ISU, you will be better able to determine what needs to be right about the place(s) that you apply to for transfer. When you know where you do want to apply, and why, you will know whether you need to re-take any classes from ISU. Here is a hint: If it is a D or an F, re-take it. If it is a C, forget it, and move on.

Retaking courses that you failed is different than taking “some easy classes to improve (your) GPA.” Colleges will see all the courses and the grades. They won’t be impressed by GPA padding. Are you full pay? Adding unnecessary courses generally adds semesters as well. Can you cover an additional semester or two out of pocket if you have to?
