Thinking of transferring to NYU or Vassar, will chance back

'm a freshman at Occidental College and I think I might transfer to Vassar or NYU. It's not that I hate Oxy so much as that I think Vassar would be better. I've lived in LA all of my life and I wanted to go out of state but I settled for Occidental for a reason which I don't really understand. Could I get in as a transfer applicant?

So can I get in?

As a transfer, Vassar will be more interested in what you did at Oxy , than high school. Best of luck.

I’m a first semester freshman that is expected to get a 3.4 or 3.5 GPA. I have an internship with NPR lined up, but that’s second semester, which is when I will be applying. Considering that I literally just got here, I think they’ll understand.

I think NYU and Vassar are both high matches considering they do not accept a lot of transfer students. That being said, the fact that your GPA is ok and you have a great internship lined up, you are a competitive applicant and definitely should apply. Good luck! Chance back please?
