This a good sophmore year

thats what im wondering about, i think i’ll only volunteer on saturadys and on sundays homework.

@FutureIvyboy‌ Are you allowed to take APs sophomore year? Check your school’s policy; doesn’t it have core courses? The only AP courses sophomores are allowed to take at my school are AP Stats and AP Chinese (provided they have completed all the prerequisites).

Calculus BC is a prerequisite for Multivar, and you’ll have to take a placement test to get in. Taking them concurrently will just confuse you.

Does your school allow summer courses for credit? Many high schools don’t.

I believe that the AP history, economics, and government courses (I may have forgotten one) are:
AP US History
AP World History
AP European History
AP US Government
AP Comparative Government
AP Microeconomics
AP Macroeconomics
AP Human Geography

As far as I know, most schools use AP Euro as a sophomore year history course.

AP English Language is easier than AP Lit.

I wouldn’t take an AP English course sophomore year, however; AP English courses are usually taken junior and senior year (and for good reason).

Make sure your school offers all the APs you want to take. I’d rather be able to take AP Comparative Gov. than AP US Gov. senior year, but we have to take US Gov. and my school doesn’t offer Comparative Gov.

wow thanks for a very informative answer.

They allow you to start to take ap classes sophmore year any you want

Im not sure about ap french so i may ask about that.

Would self studying ap calc be sufficent or maybe a summer course. I will also ask about the transfer of credits since i have heard of people not getting credits transferred.

Lol forgot about those history classes let me pull out the class rubrics.

Ok couldnt find it but i saw a paper that said ap world history 10, economics - 12(core class), i will take ap macro economics however.

Why take ap english junior/senior year, they have ap avaliable 9-12th

They offer almost all except for those math courses.

Went on website this is what they had

AMERICAN GOVERNMENT

BIOLOGY

CALCULUS AB(i know they have BC saw it on sign up sheet)

CHEMISTRY

COMPUTER SCIENCE

ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND COMPOSITION (11th grade English)

ENGLISH LITERATURE AND COMPOSITION (12th grade English)

MACRO/MICRO ECONOMICS

MUSIC THEORY

PHYSICS

PSYCHOLOGY

SPANISH

STATISTICS

US HISTORY

WORLD HISTORY

My high school is deer valley high school, antioch if you want to look.

It seems this is the most challenging schedule you can take your sophomore year:
[whatever math course]
Advanced English
AP Chem
AP World
French II
PE
Elective

I think your school puts AP in front of classes to make it seem better( not trying to be offensive in anyway). I don’t see English 10 as AP, nor is French 2 AP leveled. Though, pre-calc will be hard, and I wouldn’t recommend taking ap bio and Chem the same year

Thanks so. Yeah thats the problem no set of schools have the same standards. Some schools on 4.0 system others 100.00 gpa. Some have ib other have blah. So yeah for those classes i listed i wanted but arent offered i will check in with my local Community College(los mendanos), and see if the credits transfer over.
