This is Crazy

Eckerd is up against GWU, AU and Northeastern - Environmental Studies and has offered half tuition whereas the other three offered nothing but sub loans. So why is the decision so difficult? son has lived overseas in Africa his whole life ie warm weather and small school w/graduating class of 12 students. Has a few uncles in FL and liked Eckerd when visiting. But he still feels like he's going to short himself if he doesn't choose one of the other more high-powered DC/Boston schools.

SO does anybody have reassuring comments about the quality of Eckerd and the diversity of its student body?? or should he reach for a more stressful (and cold) urban experience? this is a kid who doesn't drive, have his own car and has a pretty simple life. Eckerd would be least intense transition but would it be the best choice??? thx

Me to waiting for the comments (reply on this topic )…

You all ought to look at the Colleges That Change Lives description of Eckerd. It has a very tight knit student body, so I’ve heard, and it’s location is un-beat.

I believe that your son will get all the opportunities he wants at Eckerd, and maybe even more.

Good luck with your decision, I’d offer more advice but I am about to sleep. And the latter was irrelevant.
