So popular atheist blogger and professor at the University of Minnesota at Morris, P.Z. Myers, attended a no-ticket-required screening of the creationist propaganda film Expelled, at the Mall of America. They kicked him out before he even got in the theatre, without providing justification.

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), they missed his guest, Richard Dawkins.

Pharyngula: EXPELLED!

lol. stupid creationists

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omgomgomgomgomgomg i cannot believe it. that is INSANE!!!! and the mall of america is like, a 20 minute drive from where i am!!! holllllllllllllllllly crap. :D what RETARDS!!!! yay this made me so happy thanks for posting

and i'm going to the atheist convention tomorrow. i'm really excited even though i'm a radical agnostic.

the atheism vs. religion debate really annoys the **** out of me. Seriously, if you dislike religious bigots so much, just ignore them.

but ik it's funny ^_^

It's not so much the religious bigots as it is the way they hijack any platform available to them in order to proselytize, and moreover, it's their never-ending war on rationality. I feel I ought to make it clear that I have nothing against many practitioners of religion-- my own closest friend will attend Patrick Henry College in the fall, and I'm from a predominantly Jewish family (on my father's side)-- but rather the way religion encroaches upon society in a less than healthy way. In short, it is impossible to ignore the bigots because they insist on being heard over those with alternative beliefs, and more importantly, the truth. There's also the irony of creating a movie about expelling dissenting voices, then expelling all those who dissent, in the usual "war on Christianity" fashion. Really now? So we're the ones attacking you with faulty, flawed hypotheses? I am the one hijacking the Holocaust, an integral, aching part of my family's history, in order to compare it to the fate of aborted fetuses and silly "scientists" who sincerely believe the earth is 6,000 years old? I'm the one spreading pure hatred?

ANYWAY.

That's a tl;dr way of saying that hahaha, oh geez, how could you kick out PZ Myers and miss the man who's arguably his most famous colleague? That is epic, epic fail.
