This is it!! Last turn to ask for chances on this thread b4 ED!

Whew
ok
this is it.

i'm looking at Wharton ED Penn. I LOVE IT!
Please be honest.

Stats:

7/326
Unweighted GPA:~3.5
I have gotten 10 Bs. and 1 C.
If i don't take orchestra, which is an unweighted class, I should be 5th or 6th my counselor said.
My school is top 10 in missouri.

Oh, and I will get All A's the 1st quarter this year ...5 blow off AP classes 1 orchestra...i'll submit that

ACT: 32
SAT: Not reported

SAT II:
700 bio
730 US history
750 Math II, with minimal study

I will take Math II and Math I and bio again 2morrow. I am VERY CONFident i will get a 800 on Math II.

hooks
First generation , but Asian.
Parents only completed middle school
Mutilingual-speak 4 languages
VERY interesting Essay (I hope :/) My counselor says it's the most unique essay he's ever read.
My other essay talks about business and wharton etc...

3 Teacher recommendations. (1 extra)
They don't necessarily say I'm the "BEST they've EVER HAD" or, "The BrIGHTEST student this year" or anything
but they say i'm an asset, very hard working, extreme unique ideas and discussions, very encourages class, blah blah blah

I have had 2 Suspensions in school. In 9th grade insubordination. In 10th grade getting mad and accidently knocked over some soda.

I will write a very mature letter to the admission officers. My counselor says I have grown up and I changed. He says he will try to put a positive spin on this, but he says he can't guarantee anything haha. I know my counselor pretty well too, I talk to him for like an hour every week just about Wharton haha.

But anyways, that is just the surface.

This is my FINAL resume. please Look at it! Please!!

Okay CCers, my best friends, my guidance to future, my hope,

please be honest.

Wharton is my #1 choice. but, it is OK If i am not Qualified to be accepted.
I will improve during my gap year: I will go to an academy and study hard and raise my test scores.

I know that whatever you say won't change anything, but i'm just VERY curious. Be Honest please! this is last time I will do this!!!!
Thank you so much CCers!!!

bump....~~~~~~~bump!

Shore up that resume. It's unfocused, too colloquial in places ("dad"?) and unclear in others. It should look like... a resume. It doesn't now.

Other than that? I'm sure you know that your grades are weak by Ivy standards, though not a total dealbreaker. The suspensions will hurt, even with an explanation. Your scores are fine though unexceptional, but you can't "not report" your SAT I; it will appear on the same score report as your Subject Tests. Your ECs are quite good but you really need to emphasize the important ones. All in all I'd say you're a reach, though not a hopeless one.

i'm not hopeless, yes!!!!

do u think my resume shows enough leadership for wharton?
coz that's what they are looking for, and i want to emphasize that

thank u!

I don't know if it is good enough for wharton or not, but to me it shows a LOT of leadership. I mean, anyone could be a president of club in my school of they can think of a club and get 15 people, be a "sound-famous" club or team, be a volunteer, and be a tutor. But a team captain!? Talented and Gifted Group? Lead and directed a chamber group of 8 students? Co-founder, President, Web designer of a business witha total profit of $210.00? Chinese Lion Dance Team Manager/Captain? Those stuff up there really show it I think, because they are not things you can get in with just good grade, good personality, or just trying, you HAVE to have some leadership skill. Great Job! If it is me, I would just take you right away! I am envy >< <-- a person who completely lack leadership and presentation skill
Hey! We both volunteer in St. Luke for about 100 hours! Which department were you in? I was in the Nutrition Department (I am the menu girl ^^)

wharton ed: 15%

unfortunately your stats don't look very good for you. Bad grades piled on with the two suspensions will get you rejected outright.

cyyalunar: i work at Nursing department on floor 7
