This math problem

A landscaping company sells 40-pound bags of top soil. the actual weight x of a bag, however, may differ from the advertised weight by as much as 0.75 pound. Write an inequality involving absolute value that expresses the relationship between the actual weight x of a bag and 40 pounds. over what range may the weight of a 40 pound bag of soil vary?

A) /x-40. >= 0.75 ( x/ x=< 39.25 or X>= 40.75)
B) /x-40/ <0.75; (x/ 39.25< x<40.75)
C) /x-40/>= 0.75; (x/ 39.25 <=x<=40.75)
D) /x-40/ <=0.75 (x/ 39.25<=x<=40.75)

I'm kinda between B and D. Which one is correct?

D because it includes the endpoints 39.25 and 40.75. the question says that the bag’s weight may differ by as much as 0.75 pound. this means it can differ by 0.75 pound or less, not just anything less than 0.75 pound. it is inclusive

Im sorry actually B was B) /x-40/ <=0.75; (x/ 39.25< x<40.75) so yeah it has a “=” on it
