This may be a silly question but (Chem)

I don’t feel like I learned **** in AP Chem last year.
I don’t want to go to college feeling unprepared.
I was thinking of taking a college course over the summer,
but they are all like 8-10 week courses and they interfere
with other important plans. I would self study chemistry,
but I feel I need some more lab experience.

What do you suggest?

Is there such thing as a month long course?

Please guys! :[

Also- latest idea- Next year during one of my free periods, self study chem and use the chem lab to do labs. :]

Note: All our AP Chem labs were failures. maybe with the new teacher (last one was fired) I’ll understand it better. I don’t want credit, just knowledge.

A lot of colleges (UW-Madison comes to mind) have like two sessions in the summer. You can take a session A class, which is like june-mid july or a B class which is mid july-august, or you can stay for both.

So you could see if any places near you do something like that.

But IDK if any universities are just gonna let a high school kid come in to take a class…

know, they do actually ahaha… but i was saying the courses are like 8-10 weeks long and i cant fit that in.

Buy a college chem book. Read it. Do all the suggested labs.

Voila!

^ Yeah. That’s what I’m thinking.

Tell me if this is crazy but,

During one of my free periods next year, I could:

Ask my school for last year’s AP Chemistry Textbook and lab book

 • Self study with PR AP Chemistry book with the Text
 • Do the labs in the Chemistry Teacher’s Lab, with her assistance

Take AP Chemistry Test over?
(Btw, there were 10 kids in AP Chem, one passed with a 3 and she’s going to Harvard)
