Psych is to complete one of my breadth courses for L&S. This look alright, or too much work? I wanna have a social life my first semester, so is this just enough, or pushing it for an adjusting freshy?

What’s your intended major, fiesta of fire? I’m an incoming freshmen and your classes look similar to what I want to take lol. I’m either going to be political science or PEIS.

Also, freshman aren’t allowed to take upper divs first semester, and later on, you can only take upper divs if you have junior status or above, which can be attained early with AP/IB credit.

^^ Wait, is that a general rule Dill? Or specific to psychology? I think I had senior status at some point frosh year, and maybe this had something to do with it, but I was certainly allowed to take upper division math as a freshman.

This course has no restrictions at the coursewide level.

Seats have been reserved for:

Instructor Approval; a Class Entry Code is required to enroll in these seats. (Open)

Students with a major of Psychology and Students with a class level of Senior or Junior or Sophomore (Open)

Students with a class level of Freshman or Sophomore (Open)

Students with a registration status of new and Students with a class level of Junior (Open)

Open seating (Open)

Yeah, its a general rule first semester. I remember some girl asking to take an upper div class first semester freshman year and being told by our departmental advisor that freshman in general were not allowed to take upper divs first semester. Second semester of freshman year you can if you’ve got junior status or above or if you get instructor permission. Perhaps there are exceptions for math classes since they follow a more linear sequence?
