This thread has an interesting title. (I'll chance back)

Oh, added information.
Next year I am helping to start a “CERT Club” at my school.
CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team, and is a nationwide program in pretty much every city that teaches citizens how to prepare for disasters and aid in search and rescue. In my knowledge, it will be the only high school chapter (if it can get established) in the Los Angeles Area at least, since very few teens are CERT-certified (I am the only one in my area).
We plan to get speakers, get students involved in CERT programs, and the like.
I’m just worried that it will detract from my focus-I don’t know how colleges view starting a Model UN and a CERT club in the same year.
