<p>i have over 70 hours of community service that were conducted in different areas of the united states and in costa rica. my essay was about my experience living with the ticos, and i think that's what will win me over. i have an extensive background in international student programs, community service and volunteering as a peer mediator in school. i've been a member of my school's french club throughout high school, and an active member in my school's Schools for Schools club which raises money for the Invisible Children in Uganda.</p>

<p>^^ducktape, colleges don't care if you cured cancer in 6th grade. Who knows if you'll CONTINUE curing cancer in college, or extend yourself to AIDS, the common cold, and all infectious disease known to man? Curing cancer, that was so sixth-grade. :-D haha</p>
