Those high school memories

What was/is your favorite high school memory? I would have to say that mine happened when I was a sophomore. It was the second to last day of school and there was nothing peculiar about lunchtime to suggest the chaos that followed.

It first started with a couple of kids throwing some carrot sticks. I saw an uncapped Gatorade bottle fly a considerable distance, the blue liquid flying out. A couple of seconds later the carrots increased and I saw a kid throw a milkshake in the air, which hit the ceiling, left a big stain, and dropped nearly vertically on a table below. The mischief only increased from there. Now people were throwing bottles, spaghetti, burgers, and salad everywhere - it was like a food tornado had taken over our cafeteria. I watched as lettuce flied past my assistant principal's head - only missing it by inches. Kids were laughing and screaming at the same time - oh, the irony! A Gatorade bottle hit my leg, but I just laughed. Some spaghetti landed on a girl's shirt that was sitting at my table and some even got in her hair. She started crying, and I tried not to laugh. Eventually kids were running everywhere and made their way around the edges of the cafeteria. Only one table of students remained, who were nervously guarding their heads with some red lunch trays.

The principal screamed to the top of his lungs "EVERYBODY SIT DOWN!" everybody sat down, cheering and clapping for the nonsensical event that just occurred. He said how disappointed he was in the entire school and that if we did not clean up, he would make us go to school an additional day. Kids started protesting, pounding fists on the table and cussing crazily. I saw a teacher who was randomly pointing at kids and saying, "you, you, and you, COME WITH ME YOU'RE GOING TO THE OFFICE!" I just about lost it, I was laughing so hard I was crying, my sides hurt, and I couldn't breathe.

They eventually found the kid who started it and expelled him, which is bs because alot of kids probably started the thing. Now every year after, near the last day of school, school police and a crapload of teachers walk around the cafeteria and won't let anybody go to the bathroom. However, it was one of my most favorable high school moments. Sorry this is so long!
