I just received my letter yesterday :)

1920 on the SAT
I can't quite remember what I got on the SAT II, but they were high. I took literature, u.s history, and math 2.
as for AP tests, i got a 4 in World History and U.S, and a 5 in English Language.
weighted GPA is 4.78, i believe... I can't remember >.<
i'm rank 5 out of a class of 647.
that's probably top 1% at my school
(Montclair High School, Montclair, Ca)
I come from a public "ghetto" school, but I love it there :)
I'm female, also, a Filipina.

oh yeah, extracurriculars--i'm 100% nerd, so I was in Academic Decathlon, Science Club, History Club, History Day,
I'm also president of Literature Club, which is a supplement to our AP Lit. course. We hold film nights and analyze and discuss different movies, and we hold writer's workshops, and outings on the town, I'm also in journalism, I handle the backpage--all the artsy underground stuff :) I spend all my time at school, practically sleeping there, geeze!

hmm...
as for recs, I sent in several...
History teacher wrote a nice one... haha, he mentioned my crazed note-taking during lectures (he did love me afterall!)
and my literature teacher wrote an amazing one--it was an honor to read it, i was bawling for days.
also got one from the social sciences chair, and that was good.
then, there were recs from my mentors at Pomona College and Bright Prospect.
the counselor rec surprised me, since I hardly ever see her. But she managed to capture who i was... so that was cool.

I had a lot of help in the college process. Tons of people were behind me, pushing me--it wasn't so much my parents. They didnt' really know what I was up to. Then all of a sudden, it was like "oh--she's applying...and she's got a good chance of getting in". So, it felt good to finally get some recognition for working so hard. I thought I wouldnt' never apply to the colleges I did, or apply to as many as i did! It was so expensive, but thanks to BP, a scholar support program, I made it.

if you're at all curious, here's a list of colleges I applied to, in addition to Barnard:
Pomona
Pitzer
Yale
Brown
Hamilton
Sarah Lawrence
Swarthmore
Smith
Wellesley

sO.. best of luck to you in your college quest!
