Is Drexel a good medical college? I heard couple of years ago they lost there main hospital, they may not be as good as before. Thanks

Personally, after learning far more about the DO path during this application process I wish I had applied to more BS/DO programs as opposed to BS/MD programs

The University of Arizona APME deadline is January 31st. You need to apply to the University of Arizona general undergrad and be accepted before you can even access the APME application.

Drexel has tied up with Tower school and is building a new facility in Reading PA.
One-third of the students rotate through Reading.

While they were working through the loss of Hahnemann Hospital, students rotated through other Philly colleges - Penn & Jefferson.

Drexel still has its accreditation as a medical school.
All accredited medical schools need to maintain standards to train doctors.

Interesting stats.

Thank you.

Does anyone know when Hofstra will release their decisions?

Drexel is still a good school (Disclosure: My D has applied)

The CONS, I have heard apart from what you said about losing 1 hospital (is the ā€œfees cost of collegeā€ (and not that great Aid allocation)

TBH, If you want MD, many have to spent $$$ (Sadly) for fees.

Finally, they have been accredited before 1942 (meaning pretty old per LCME.org) and they do have to maintain ā€œstandardsā€ā€¦ so i wonā€™t worry too much as itā€™s old college (and not newer colleges)

You should have already gotten the Supplemental ask.
I maybe wrong but if you get Supplemental you are on cusp of interview (guessing).

Their virtual Interview is 1st week of Mar so i believe in next few weeks.

Correction :
The admission to UG you should have gotten but the ask for Supplemental should have occurred too (Jan 15th deadline)

After which you should know by couple of weeks as their interview dates are in Mar 1st week

do you know if REMs started contacting applicants for interviews? thanks

FYI - my students in the past have received up to ~30K/year scholarships at Drexel (undergrad).
That makes the undergrad portion a lot more affordable.

Yes, REMS has started notifying students for interviews.

Hofstra decision will come in waves - in Feb.

Trueā€¦ but i meant relative to other colleges for total expenses (say $30 out $80) too much than ($25 out of $60) colleges
