Thread for BS/MD BS/DO 2021-2022

also are you a connecticut resident?

10k from Pitt is a good scholarship. Would you mind sharing your daughter’s stats

Are you in state applicant

No I am not.

no i am not.

Did you get an email or snail mail?

does Uconn invite in-state only for interviews? Are there out of state seats?

Has Toledo changed from 6 years? How long is Seton Hall?

Will Drexel invited be sent all at once or do you mean they will be finished by end of this month and have already be granting them?

It is now 8 years
 4+4

In the past, it has been all at once.

Has anyone heard from Rice/Baylor?

They stagger admissions to UG first, then Honors college, and then send out invitations for interviews. Did you receive admissions to UG or UG/Honors yet?

The rice/ baylor website says interview notifications will be sent out late January and the decision for UG in end of March.

Sorry ignore my previous message. I thought that was for rice baylor question.

Any emails from Case Western PPSP? Are you all seeing typical admission marketing emails still?

Hi everyone,
by the time applicants apply to BSMDs, they will have 3 years of transcripts. DC will have taken regular biology (9th), honors chemistry (10th), AP Biology (11th), and honors organic chemistry (11th). DC will take AP Physics 1 and AP Enviro senior year.
Four questions:
-is this enough science?
-is this enough AP/honors science classes? I feel like bsmd admissions may consider DC to be lacking in science course rigor
-is AP Chem needed? It is a very difficult course in our HS, very difficult to get an A.
-instead of taking AP Chem, can DC try selfstudying for AP Chem exam. Will scoring a 5 and reporting on Common App be worthwhile? Or will it not really be looked at by bsmd committees?

**note: DC hasn’t finished all 3 years of HS yet, so there is time for us to come up with different course schedule plans

yeah i heard back for UG
