@as715

You will probably hear about Stony Brook (SBU) Honors college in Feb.

Usually the Stony Brook (SBU) medical school conducts interviews during the last week of March. You will probably hear about the interviews couple of weeks earlier.

@BrownPLME -

AP chemistry is a hard subject at school and also at college. college level courses - Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry etc. are based on chemistry and are considered to be the hardest class for pre-meds. You want to be a Doctor, you need to be comfortable with chemistry. At the MD level, many more courses would require you to have a strong foundation in chemistry!

For BS/MD programs, having AP-level classes in both Biology and Chemistry is helpful. Previously they had SAt subject tests. Now, they don’t have these going forward. So, AP exams would provide a good idea of the student’s understanding

AP scores of 4 or 5 are considered good. Let your student take these classes and then exams won’t be so difficult (especially since your high school has difficult grading)

College admissions are holistic - they consider many factors such as courses, difficulty, GPA, AP exam, ECs etc

Rejected emailed to you from Drexel? We checked the portal no update.

Can you tell hers stats?

What mean DS?

Stevens Institue of Technology BS/MD question: If you get chosen for the program and if you maintain GPA, get a good score for MCAT is medical; seat guaranteed or do you still have to do AMCAS application and go through Medical school interview?

how many ppl does drexel invite for interviews

@pakoo, @Iskhn

Based on our past experience, BSMD interviews in general are not testing your knowledge but having conversations. The conversations are mostly around your medical experience (volunteering, shadowing, research, clinical experience), etc. It would be about what you might have shared already in your application. It could be also a discussion on current (hot) medical topics. Think of meaningful examples from your past health care experience.
