Three Week Backpacking Trip Through Europe

So this summer three friends of mine and I are going to spend three weeks backpacking through Europe! A little background on us: two of them are from Sweden (one speaks Swedish, Chinese, English, and Spanish; the other speaks Swedish, English, French, and Italian) and the other one is from Germany (she speaks English and German.) I’m from the USA and I speak English, French, and am decent in Spanish.

We’re going to Stockholm, one of their beach houses in southern Sweden, Amsterdam, Paris, Bern, a city right outside of Bern, Rome, Florence, Milan, Berlin, and then back to Stockholm. We go to each city in the order listed.

I have just a few questions:

1) Is there anything that we must absolutely do while we’re in each respective city? We have a general list of things we want to do, hit the main attractions of course, but is there anything you’ve done that you would recommend that we should give a little though?
2) Would you switch any of these cities out for a different city? If you look on a map, we make a little loop through Western Europe, so it’d have to work within the loop.

Any advice will be taken! Thanks guys : )

Have fun !

You must buy macarons from Ladur

If you’re in Amsterdam…
You should DEFINITELY go to the 9 streets - it’s the cutesy vintage neighborhood. I’d also go see Leidesplein, Museumplein, the Jordaan and Utrechtstraat. Those are no question the nicest neighborhoods. Of course, you might want to taste the local Delicatessen (stroopwaffels, pot and raw fish).
You should stop in Bruges! It’s on the way from A’dam to Paris, and it’s really nice. And the food there is actually good (waffels! french fries!)
There’s SO much to do in Paris. I can’t even recommend stuff there because there’re things to do in every single arrondissements.
Oh Rome. I love Rome.
I haven’t been to the others.

You’ll have an AMAZING time!

Post this in the parent’s cafe forum. There are many people there who can give you advice!

You could see Anne Frank’s house/hiding place when you’re in Amsterdam…

Red light district. Amsterdam.

'Nuff said.
