TI 89 Titanium?

Hey, just wondering how the 89Ti is better than the 83/84+, i'm taking ap calc ab next year and the 89 and nspire are going for pretty cheap right now at staples. My sister needs an 83 next year and my parents want me to get one that might be useful for college math as well.
thanks

The 89 can do indefinite integrals, and differentiate with variables. It’s more useful for Calc.

Better for BC calc. More complicated than Ti83, but once you get used to it you’ll like it much better. After some time you’ll be calling kids with Ti83/84 n00bs

^ Truth.

^^Truth. :D

I had an 84 back in middle school (required since I was taking HS math) and once I got to high school an 89 was required for Calc and Stats… the 89 makes the 84 look so useless. Now my brother is using my 84 for his middle school’s math classes.

Did all you TI 89 users read the manual? I got the calculator a while back but due to procrastination skills I still haven’t used it cause I never gotten around to reading the superthick manual.

Or did you guys just toy around with it and completely mastered it with no manual…

^While studying for math 2 I asked the CC forums how to do various stuff
