Is the CX CAS the best for AP Calculus? My teacher uses an 84 and he has also told me that if I can get my hands on a better calculator to buy it. I owned the TI Nspire with interchangeable TI 84 click pad but I returned it due to issues with the calculator, I feel like the CAS is good mainly because it gives exact answers, something the other nspire and 84 don't do. I never quite got the hang of the 84 like I did with the nspire (I found it easier to navigate with the nspire). My AP Physics teacher (I will have next year) won't allow it because she said the class is mainly algebra, and a calculator that does algebra for me will make the class too easy, I don't mind because the AP Physics exam doesn't allow calculators until the free response the main focus of the calculator is AP Calc and my teacher allows CAS calculators as long as they are allowed on AP Exam

The 84 had gotten me through everything I’ve ever needed it to do, and I’m a math/physics major. I’d like to pick up an 89 eventually, but it isn’t a high priority right now.

I can’t say anything about the 84, but getting the nspire (non cas) is a waste of time and money because it can’t do derivatives and integrals.
I have an nspire cas and it’s pretty useful. The format is easy to read/understand/use.
