So I'm not done with ED app, but my teacher recs are already completed. Should I just work my butt off and try to send it in by Saturday, or would it be alright for me to just apply RD? Would my teacher recs just be tossed out and have to be resent or something like that?

Also, is it likely that the Common App website will crash sometime from now to Saturday?

Well it can still be sent in Saturday so you have the whole day to work on it. I'm not sure what will happen to your recs, but I'm pretty sure they just keep em in your file.

You can send your recommendations separately in their own envelopes; as long as they can tell they're yours they'll put 'em in your file. I sent my crap separately as I got it all done and it worked out.

If you truly want to go to Penn... apply early as your chances are much higher. The acceptance rate for Penn RD CAS is something around 11%. For ED it's I think triple that or something. Same probably goes for nursing, wharton, and engineering.
