Well, I'm sorta discouraged, did not get accepted to APUSH in our school mostly because of my grades from last year. (Didn't really try hard, but this quarter and last got good gpa)
I'm feeling more motivated now cause of my failure to make it, and I'm planning to do some "harder" courses for my grade (going to be junior next school year) like Psychology, AP Bio, etc.
Does anyone find themselves in a somewhat same situation, or has been through something like this?
Any advice on how you guys try to improve somewhere else? start clubs/organizations? fundraisers?

Just tips on helping yourself "make up" for academic faults I guess would be greatly appreciated!

Get good grades starting today. Good grades, and a consistent upward trend, can make up for a bad year or a bad semester. Self-study APUSH, if that’s what you want.

^I agree self-study APUSH if you feel like it won’t be too hard for you. Also, take some other AP’s so that you don’t look like a slacker during your junior year :)

The thing is that our school has very little AP’s. I’m still planning on doing AP Bio next year instead of AP chem because chemistry in our school is super hard. If I get in to AP English Senior then i’ll take it as well. AP Calc is the other ap that our school has.

@stellakness, should I study APush with sat books and then take the sat 2?

? any more input from other members?
