<p>speak from the heart! i’m a RD for Cornell too and since you already know its all about fit if you really do fit there and say what feels right and not just what you think they want to hear you should be fine!</p>
<p>You should really emphasize in your essay
-what you want to do at Cornell
-why you want to do it
-how Cornell can help you do it
Throwing in a professor’s name or a reference to a class you may be interested in doesn’t hurt either.</p>
<p>what sparked your interest in engineering? do you know what kind of engineering you want to go into? write about that</p>
