Tips for the APUSH Exam

This will be my first experience with an AP test, and I’m really nervous about whether or not I’ll get the score I want (At least a 4). All I really have to study with are the practice APUSH tests I’m taking in class, whatever sources I can find online, and my pageant book.

Currently, my class is doing rotations of timed practice EOCT Reviews, AP tests, DBQ Essays, and FRQ essays to help prepare us. I took my first mock AP test this morning, and I barely got a 3, I’m taking my timed DBQ tomorrow.

I’m getting a lot of mixed information about the test from both my school and friends who’ve taken it, most of them seem to think that it was easier than they expected. What’s your opinion?

Does anyone have any good practices for studying, helpful online sites, or just general tips on how not to be so nervous? :)

My first time too, so i can’t help you with the nervous part hehe. Sometimes I get really fixated with drilling specific dates into my head, but loads of people here say that remembering & understanding more general time periods and stuff, like the reasons behind U.S. entering WWI, can help you more than than memorizing dates alone.

But I dunno. Trying to do both, getting a more microscopic look and then stepping back to analyze & to get the bigger picture.

But that’s pretty obvious stuff, so. Good luck!
