Hi there! I know that if you have to audition or submit a portfolio, then you are not REQUIRED to submit scores from SAT II’s. However, MAY I submit them if I thought that they would work in my favor? Especially for the academic-review part of the process?

Thanks!,
Meg :)

megasinger - you can most definitely submit them; my D did (she had set it up to where her scores were submitted automatically to the schools she specified), although I don't necessarly think it makes a difference, since it is not a mandatory requirement.

Yeah, I was just wondering because on a close call - little extra things like that can help! Thanks MTgrlsmom for the info!

My D was relieved that she didn't have to take, or submit, SAT IIs! But as MTgrlsmom said, it never hurts to submit those extra things that might make a difference. Best of luck!

For the schools at NYU OTHER THAN TISCH, SAT Subject Tests are required. For Tisch, they are optional. Certainly if you send them and they are good, they could help. They can't hurt since they are not required. My D, who is a rising senior at Tisch, took SAT Subject Tests and sent them. She happened to do very well on them and I feel they enhanced her academic profile. In her case, she was graduating after junior year of HS, and so I think it helped to show achievement in subject areas. So, if you have good scores, send them. They will see them and they could help.
