Sigh.Boys again?
@Tippu-You’e taking IB?That is so cool,how nice :slight_smile:
I’ve always wanted to take IB,that has been like my dream curriculum coz you can take as many as 15 subjects and no one says a thing.Siiiigh.

Yes bluebox-YOUR FAQ >:(
Get on with it already!!

haha my “love” life is a never ending story

From a college admission perspective, IB vs. AP is a non issue. Very few universities favor IB over AP.

Here in the US, almost every high school offers AP classes and only a tiny % of schools offer IB. I think IB is more like CBSE and ICS (?) - more in-depth study and harder exams.

The main drawback of doing IB in the US is that it is harder to take many classes because of scheduling conflicts.

So,have you taken the SAT yet?How much did you score?I’ll be taking for the 1st(brrr) time this October.

wait tippu, so were you able to take IBs at a public school?
or did you go to a special ib school

IB is offered in public schools. However, only one HS in our public school district offers IB. It is as good as any private school in the area. Teachers find it harder to teach IB. They also get evaluated based on the correlation between internal and external assessment results.

thats cool. what ibs did ya take

IB is really difficult and it has a system of continuous evaluation.

AP is basically a set of exams you take in May every year…

Pixie why didn’t you do IB if it’s your dream curriculum? I know the cost is prohibitive but there are many schools (atleast in Mumbai) which offer scholarships to top students.

There are * very* few schools that offer IB in Delhi itself as its quite a humongous task to get land here by proprieters no matter how much you’re willing to pay(coz there’s none available!).So,all the new schoolsthat offer IB are in the NCR(out of delhi) region, too far to travel everyday man.The only school that offers IB and is IN delhi is ‘The British School’ and that basically isnt for Indians!

Oh yeah I do know about all the IB schools in Delhi- sorta.

I had a friend (is in Hopkins now!) who stayed in Delhi and travelled to GDGWS everyday! The bus services are pretty good and stuff…

Isn’t there “American Embassy School” as well?

I dunno if that offers IB?
