<p>Should I use a title for my Common App essay? Some people have told me its a good idea to have one, but others have said only to add a title if it actually contributes something to your essay. Since I can't think of any catchy or insightful title, I don't think it would add much to my essay. Any thoughts on whether it is better to title or not to title? What did you do?</p>
<p>It’s up to you. If you don’t think you can think of a good/catchy title, don’t add one. If you can, then do so.</p>
<p>Only add one if it’s an enticing title.</p>
<p>Because it’s a PERSONAL STATEMENT, not necessarily an essay, there’s no need for a title.
But if it’s eye-catchy, it will serve a good purpose.</p>
